American Runaways is a 4 piece Rock n’ Roll band from Albany, New York consisting of Ryan DeMarco (Vocals, Guitar), Mike Jaycox (Guitar), Neal Makela (Bass) and Jason Van Pelt (Drums). Forming in 2016, the band came together via Craigslist ads on the premise of mixing their punk rock roots with indie, classic rock, and blues.

The band released their first EP in November 2017 entitled, “Home For A Week.” It was recorded at the famous Barber Shop in Hopatcong, New Jersey. With the help of engineer and producer, Gary Cioni (Sorority Noise, Head North, Kayak Jones) the band crafted 6 emotionally charged songs that resonate with their audience.

American Runaways draw influence from band such as The Gaslight Anthem, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Replacements, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Killers, Matchbox Twenty, and Hot Water Music.

The band is currently writing for their next release and plan on hitting the studio in the spring.
